For those of you that are still with me, there is hope. Effective parenting begins with a vision and a goal. Where do you see your child at 8 years old, 11 years old, 15, 18, 20, 23, 26 (important year because you can no longer carry them on your insurance after the age of 26 unless you can convince them to become a part-time student, that will buy you another year). The goal is not engraved in stone, but it provides a direction, a focus. My goal was for both of my daughters to attend college, FREE. I established that goal when I was 8 Months pregnant with my first child. All I had to do was find out how, that was my focus.
